Creative Souls invites you to attend Offering Our Gifts on Wednesday, November 1 at FBS.
Offering Our Gifts begins at 4:00 p.m. with an art show. Members and friends of First Broad Street will display a variety of handmade crafts such as wreaths, stained glass, fabric arts, pottery, woodworking products, baskets, paper items, paintings, and baked goods. Many of the display items will be available to purchase. Throughout the art show, visitors of all ages will enjoy watching several craft demonstrations. The art show will close at 8:00 p.m. (To purchase items, please pay with cash or checks only. A portion of every sale will be donated to funding Creative Souls.)
At 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, you are invited to create a delicious dinner at the potato and chili bar and craft something sweet at the dessert bar. Reservations are required (224-1502) and normal charges for Wednesday Night Live dinner apply. While eating, artwork created by members of Creative Souls will be shown on the large screens. Then at 6:15 p.m. on the main stage, some of the members of Appalachian Express Chorus, one of the most popular singing groups in the region, will entertain us with a fun program of four part Barbershop harmony. The talented men who comprise Appalachian Express come from all areas of the greater Tri-Cities, and two of their members also are members of First Broad Street. Appalachian Express is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Creative Souls is a ministry at FBS whose members seek to explore spirituality through art. The group meets as needed and members stay informed of creative opportunities via an email distribution list. If you are interested in joining Creative Souls or would like more information about the ministry, please contact Sue Hopkins, Kay Ann Smith, or Roger Hanz.
